WHY CHOOSE HYDROSEEDING?
Have you ever driven by a house and noticed a perfectly graded, seeded and strawed yard? Sure you have, we all have seen lots of them; traditional seed and straw works well and has been the standard in lawn establishment for years. We also have all driven by that same house again and seen straw that is blown away/clumped up everywhere; in the following weeks you see spotty grass clumps coming up or maybe even a total redo. Hydrogreen wants to solve that issue for homeowners and contractors. Our Hydroseeding mixture sticks to the ground and will not blow away, with high resistance to washout, all for a similar cost. Better product, similar cost – that is our mission.
You have also driven by that yard that was bare dirt and then the next day it’s a beautiful lush yard. Sod is perceived as an instant lawn. In many ways, it is. A few drawbacks are cost, large amounts of water needed, sensitive to environmental conditions for the first year due to shallow roots. Hydroseeding is not an instant lawn but as close as you can get to sod for 60%-75% less cost. Hydrogreen’s slurry mixture gives a nice green appearance until the grass starts to appear. Hydrogreen’s mixture has fertilizers and growth stimulants that drive our roots deep and in no time you will have that lush beautiful lawn.

HYDROSEEDING FAQS
Hydroseeding was invented in the 1950’s to find a solution to hard to reach areas and rough terrain along roadsides. Instead of traditional seed and straw, hydroseeding is sprayed out in a slurry of water, seed, mulch, fertilizer and any other additional soil amendments needed. This creates an ideal environment for seeds to germinate and not blow away or wash away.
Hydroseeding is a premium product for a similar cost. Hydroseeding does not blow away and has higher resistance to wash out. Your yard will have a better appearance and a higher seed germination rate. In addition, our mulch blend retains moisture better than traditional straw so less watering is required.
Hydroseeding is a better value. Hydroseeding is 60%-75% less in cost than sod. Hydroseeding along with our maintenance plan will have your yard looking better than sod with less watering and maintenance in no time.
Like any seeding, keeping your lawn damp during the first month is crucial to success. We recommend setting up sprinklers on a timed system for 4-6 weeks after installation. Hydrogreen offers a Rent-A-Rain system. After the initial install of your new lawn, we can set up a temporary sprinkler system that works on timers. All you have to do is sit back and watch your grass grow.
Hydrogreen uses a high quality starter fertilizer at the time of application. We recommend fertilizing 4-6 weeks after your installation (depending on timing of the year). Hydrogreen also offers a maintenance plan to protect your investment for the years to come. Hydrogreen is your one stop shop for all things lawn health!
Hydrogreen can aerate and seed your hydroseeded lawn at any time. Although newly installed lawns do not need initial aeration and seeding, there are circumstances when it is a nice option to have. Dead spots from dog urine, excessive activity from kids, harsh summer… there are many reasons to aerate and seed within a year of installing a new lawn. With sod you cannot aerate until the roots are more deeply established. Hydrogreen offers maintenance plans including proper fertilizer applications and aeration for all types of lawn.
Successful lawn establishment does not stop after new seeding. Hydrogreen offers a complete maintenance plan to establish lawns quickly and keep them thick and lush. Hydrogreen’s Grow Green organic hybrid plan includes fertilizer, weed control, growth stimulates, grub control and aeration; timed correctly throughout the year to optimize results. The Grow Green Plan will accelerate your existing lawn or newly Hydroseeded yard to thicker healthier turf.
